Tap Drift allows the user to drive via a single control input, although behind its apparent simplicity, there exists a skill curve that depends on a player's ability to judge speed and when to execute a drift technique.
To initiate a drift, click and hold the left mouse button (or tap/click) to start drifting and accumulating boost energy, and as you exit a turn, you can recover from the drift smoothly and maintain maximum velocity by releasing the button.
The better your timing is when exiting the corner, the longer your drift will be, your score will be higher, and the turn will be cleaner.
One Button Drifting Mechanics
The control system of Tap Drift is simple to learn but requires careful track shape, angle of drift, and timing for true mastery. Every turn presents a mini-test requiring all of your concentration.
Combo Chains and Scores
Chain multiple drifts together to create combos. The greater the length of your chain, the more points you receive. If you miss a release, then your combo will break, and that will create increased tension on every turn.
